Every 4th entrepreneur is not able to pay their liabilities on time.
A lot of companies still finance the debtors
It results from the report: ‘Portfel należności Polskich Przedsiębiorstw’ (Portfolio of receivables of Polish enterprises) prepared by KPF and KRD BIG SA that more than every tenth entrepreneur loses the amounts corresponding to 10-19% of the total costs incurred by them on the payment unreliability of their business partners while every sixteenth – the amounts corresponding even to 20-29% of the total costs. The average costs incurred by the entrepreneurs dropped from 6.5% to 6.1% in the comparison of the 3rd quarter to the 4th quarter.
In the business practice in Poland, more than every 4th entrepreneur is not able to pay their liabilities on time. On the other hand, the significance of the negative impact of the delays on realisation of investments increased. They are extremely important for building of the competitive advantage or at least maintenance of the share in the market and as a result – entail the intensification of the economic growth of the country. In the latest research, 28.5% of companies declare that the occurring delays adversely affect the possibility to realise the investment projects. Moreover, 4.6% of companies declare that as a result of delays in payment of receivables, they must limit employment.
There is also good news from the research, i.e. that only every fifth invoice is not paid on time. On the other hand, it highlights also the bad news – the MSE sector, contrary to corporations, has still not drawn any conclusions from the crisis situations from before a couple of years and fails to put sufficient attention to verification of its business partners or assessment of the risk of the contract. This is what leads to the problems with recovery of receivables that some entrepreneurs complain about. Only intensified education and increase of economic awareness will allow the entrepreneurs to focus calmly on the development of their own business – summarises Adam Łącki, the President of the Management Board of Krajowy Rejestr Długów Biura Informacji Gospodarczej SA.
